Settling in to the new life

Do you like my new website? I’ve used WordPress and as working on websites is up there with writing for me, I’m having great fun putting it all together.

This is what my new life looks like now. I work on my day job with AMP from 6.30am to 3pm four days a week and the rest of the day/week is mine to do with what I will.

We’ve been in the new house for just over six weeks and it’s the best thing we’ve ever done. We love this place. The town is small but very busy and there are three op shops in it plus two antique shops and a few of those collectibles shops. I’m in my element here and can’t wait for my op-shopping buddies to come down for a day.  I’ve also volunteered to work in the Salvation Army shop which will be a great way to meet people.

The most exciting thing has been the addition of Ruby to our family.Ruby

She’s a rescue Boxer X and in only two weeks has turned our lives upside down – in a good way.

The redecorating has begun.

It will take a few weeks to complete but we’re in no rush. Actually, we’re in no rush about anything these days. I can feel my blood pressure reduce by the day.

We’ve had second thoughts about the B&B. We’re not saying we won’t do it but we’re definitely not doing it yet.  Partly because I’ve got far too much on at the moment but also because we just want to enjoy it as our home and not a business.
